What is not allowed
Child sexual abuse material, any sexual exploitation of children, attempts to make unlawful contact with a child, and grooming are all banned. An account involved in any of these is closed immediately and the matter is referred to the authorities.
How to report

What we do with a report
A report that involves a child is dealt with before any other. We close accounts that break this policy, keep the records the law requires, and report what we find to the authorities.
Working with the authorities
We cooperate with Nigerian law enforcement and child protection agencies, including:
- the Nigeria Police Force, including its National Cybercrime Centre;
- the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP);
- international child protection bodies, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF).
We act in line with Nigerian law, including the Child’s Rights Act and the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act.
Age limit
NIDEA is for people aged 18 and over. We close accounts that we find belong to someone under 18.
