Venture Building

Opportunities become businesses.

Netgrawl turns opportunities into technology businesses. We build the product, launch it, run it, and keep going until it can stand on its own.

A good idea is rarely the problem.

What stops most opportunities is the distance between seeing them and proving them. That takes a product, the day to day running of it, and the patience to learn from real customers. Few founders and organisations have all three at once.

That is the gap we work in.

How we build

From opportunity to independent business.

  1. Stage 1: Conceive

We test whether the need is real, who it serves and what a first version must do, before anything is built.

  2. Stage 2: Build

We design and build the product and the platform behind it, to production standard.

  3. Stage 3: Launch

We take it to market and run it day to day: infrastructure, support and operations.

  4. Stage 4: Scale

We grow what works and build the business around it, until it can stand on its own.

The aim is a product company: a business with its own product, customers and team, able to stand on its own.

What a venture gets

What a venture gets from Netgrawl.

  • A team that builds

Engineers, designers and product people who have built and run production platforms.

  • Operations from day one

Hosting, support, monitoring and the daily running of the business, so founders can focus on customers.

  • A route to market, case by case

A venture can be considered for access to Netgrawl's platforms and partners, including Netgrawl Advertising and ISOPLETH. It is not automatic, and depends on the venture.

  • A company behind it

A registered company and a governed way of working, so a venture starts on solid ground.

Who it is for

Three ways in.

  • Founders and entrepreneurs

    You have an opportunity

You have an idea, an insight or an early business, and you need a technology partner who will build and run it with you.

  • Businesses, institutions and public bodies

    Your organisation sees a need

You can see a market or public need that could become a new line of business, or a venture of its own.

  • Partners and investors

You want to be close to new ventures

You want to work alongside, or back, ventures as they take shape.

Questions

What people ask first.

What is venture building?

Building a new business from an opportunity, not only the software behind it. We take responsibility for the product, the launch and the operation, and work towards a product company that can run on its own.

How is it different from commissioning software?

A software project ends when the software is delivered. A venture is judged by whether the business works, so we stay involved through launch and operation.

Do I need a finished idea?

No. A clear problem and the people who have it is enough to start. We test the rest together.

Who owns the venture?

It depends on the venture. We do not work to fixed terms, so each one is agreed on its own merits before any work begins.

Is my idea kept confidential?

Yes. We agree a non-disclosure agreement before you go into detail. Until then, an outline is enough.

Do you work outside Nigeria?

Yes. We work with founders and organisations in other countries too.

Tell us about the opportunity.

A few lines is enough. We will come back to you with questions, not a sales pitch.

We agree a non-disclosure agreement before you share detail. Until then, please keep to an outline.

We use your details only to reply to this request. We don’t share them, and we don’t add you to a mailing list. See our privacy policy.
